About.
The Doozys are a new band that formed in the Greater Bunbury Area late 2018 with a mission to bring something fresh and a bit different to the local music scene.
The Doozys are an all acoustic string band using cajon drum, acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, slide guitar with a bit of harmonica and Irish tin whistle thrown in for good measure. The Doozys use fingerstyle techniques and other alternative approaches that set them apart and makes the songs more interesting.
The set list is varied and versatile with everything from Steve Earl to the Stereophonics.
Rather than just play the standard electric guitar/bass/drums versions The Doozys are aiming to have a point of different with their use of a range of different folk instruments.
The Doozys are:
Darren Gittos – lead vocalist, tin whistle, melodica
Matt Walsh – guitar, banjo
Chris Murray – guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica
Casper Smith – cajon drum
Glen Valois - double bass
All members have experience in previous bands and entertainment roles and are determined to provide a quality show with a point of difference.
